Beach and woodland

Black Rock’s private beach is one of our most beautiful assets, at low tide thousands of sea creatures nestle in the rock pools and the vast sandy (and safe!) beach is exposed. In season you can hire stand up paddle boards and sit-on kayaks.

Just two miles to the east of Looe, where the South West coastal path crosses the beach at Millendreath, lies one of Cornwall’s least known, but most idyllic valleys.

Black Rock Holiday Villas are set in a private 75 acre estate – a rich and diverse natural environment, with a typical Cornish valley microclimate that encourages lush, exotic plants and trees.

You are welcome to bring water toys, small dinghies, kayaks, SUPs and surf boards – anything without an engine, to help ensure the safety of all on the beach.

Summer beach access for dogs

As pet lovers ourselves, we’ve thought long and hard about beach access for dogs and have arrived at an arrangement that we hope will suit everyone.  From 1st April to 1st November please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach, we do however have 30 acres of stunning woodland for our doggy friends to roam! We ask that all owners act responsibly and help us to keep the beach clean!
